At Spectrum, a conflict of interest is any activity or affiliation that is inconsistent with or opposed to Spectrum’s best interest or gives the appearance of bias and/or impropriety. It is also important to note that employees must consider the possible conflicts associated with close family members.
When doing business on behalf of the company it is important to consider the intent of your action as well as the execution of it. This often requires a more conservative approach than may typically be utilized.
At no time may an employee of Spectrum offer, pay, promise to pay or authorize the giving something of value to any domestic or foreign government, government agency, business organization or individuals that may influence a contract decision, gain favor, ignore a violation or secure an improper advantage in awarding contracts.
Any conflict, or potential conflict, must be reported upon recognition of the conflict. This must be done as soon as a conflict is known or suspected.
