In our brief history, Spectrum has earned the reputation of “doing what is right” for our customers, partners and employees. That commitment is the fundamental building block of our exceptional success to date and enables our future growth and prosperity.
Our outlook for the coming years is continued growth and expansion, which means exciting and rewarding times with new challenges that we must prepare for now. A few of the growth realities that highlight our planning activities are graduating from a small business, expanding employee population and greater dispersed business operations.
The implementation of our Quality Management System has enabled us to organize and effectively assess our business policies and processes as foundational components for the future. Another critical initiative is the establishment of a Business Ethics Program, which provides governance and procedures for the phrase, “doing what is right”. Our compliance is culture driven; not because it’s the law, but because it’s moral and just.
The Spectrum Business Ethics Program summarizes the standards that must guide our every action. These principles represent our Spectrum culture and company policies and establish conditions for employment and the work environment. Our reputation and integrity depend upon each of us assuming a personal responsibility for our business conduct.
As Spectrum's CEO, I present to you the Spectrum Business Ethics Program, “SEE.” I urge each of you to become familiar with the program and use it as the reference to guide your daily work and business relations. The program will not address every situation that may arise, but it does establish acceptable protocols to resolve challenges that may surface as we continue to grow. As necessary, you can and should request assistance and discuss your concerns with your supervisor, others in your chain of command and/or the Ethics Officer.
In closing, let me thank each of you for your commitment to Spectrum and solicit your support in making our ethics programs a part of Spectrum’s culture.
Respectfully,
Jeffrey D. Wassmer
