Investigation Process

What Happens in the Investigation?

  1. All issues, suggestions, concerns or suspected violations are expeditiously forwarded to the Spectrum Ethics Officer for investigation, consideration and/or resolution.

  2. Available sources of information and knowledge that bears on the matter are evaluated before any determination is made.

  3. Corrective action is implemented to resolve the current issue and, if appropriate, help prevent a similar issue in the future. Corrective action may include simply clarifying policies or expectations, advising employees on questions, revision or modification of some part of the Spectrum Ethics Program and employee disciplinary action for infringements.

  4. If employee discipline action is required, the severity may be commensurate with the actual intent of those involved and the impact(s) caused by their decisions and actions associated with the violation.
