Export Controls

All Spectrum technology and data is subject to export controls of the United States government based on contracts with the federal government. Due to this regulation, employees are limited in what they may discuss with foreign nationals even if they are not working directly on a government contract.

Main Points:

Adhere to all International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) regulations recognizing that some protections are quite subtle.

While Spectrum may not be working in “arms” per se, ITAR regulates what information may be shared with foreign customers when a business works with the US government.

Follow corporate policy to protect and register technical data when traveling internationally.
